PACKAGING PROJECT!!

Can we say, "Exciting?" I find this project very interesting! We could come up with our own package concept and find our own designs that were poorly designed. I designed to pick the store-brand version of tea. It's always so plain with just a couple of words on them. I decided that the generic brand should also be appealing like the competitive versions. More way to let my creative juices flow more and more. I also just ran across this website called, Behance.net. Very professional and well-designed.

These were some interesting sets of tea packages that really captured my eye!!

Gameboy Calendar =) [ je l'adore ]

he Gameboy Calendar has been one of my tedious projects that I found myself struggling with. But, what's a project without struggle? The ending product received alot of positive feedback, which gave me alot of confidence to continue on the Illustration path.

   We had to work on a two-week spread.

Finished PAWS Poster

After completing the event poster project, I found myself really liking Illustrator even more and more. I changed the color of the original piece which was the sky blue to a golden brown color. I played around with different shadows and highlights on the martini glass. I just had alot of fun with this project, did I mention that?

Editing Process && Crit

Crit for Typography went great on Tuesday!!!! I felt so confident about that piece and I believe I achieved higher goals. I just find myself becoming addicted to Photoshop and Illustrator everyday. I guess that's the point, huh? Well, right now we're working on Type Specimens and Event Posters. Can I just say how much I love this assignment? I found an event called, "Paws for Cocktails," and instantly thought of a very attractive concept. This is what I started with as in illustration wise.

Looks pretty cool I think. I can't wait to show you guys the finished project. =)

Crit Day

We have crit today on our calendar assignment in Kim's class. I'm so proud on how my project turned it. Okay wanna know what it is? Okay, i'll tell you. It's an old school vectored gameboy. Guess the theme!! Nevermind, i'll tell you that as well. It's "A Calendar for the Classic Video Gamer." Isn't that awesome?! I'll have sketches up later I accidentally forgot to scan them into my scanner. My PC seems to be acting a little slow, I think it knows that I go to the Digi Aquarium and play on the iMACs. Oh well!
